Living life the way I “choose”. This is my WHY.
For too many years I spent my days just getting by. I woke up in pain literally every single day. The past few years I could barely walk a few hundred yards or get up and down off the ground. My body was in so much pain, was so much larger and was so unhealthy.
A couple of double-unders may not mean a lot to many people, but to this girl they are life. Walking into this workout I didn’t even know if I could do a single! These signify the hard work I’m putting in. These signify that I never gave up over the years even when my body and mind wanted to. These signify what you can do when you consistently work towards being better each day, even in seemingly the smallest increments.
These also speak to my coach, Chris Orcutt. His expertise in working with my body exactly as it shows up, his patience and his support means more than he may ever know. The day he joined the Rhino team I knew he was a specially gifted human. I just didn’t know he’d be so good at supporting me and also calling me out when I don’t put in my best. I appreciate you coach! Thank you for your guidance in so many areas!
If you’re in a body with pain, in a body you don’t necessarily love or in a place in your life where you aren’t sure how to get your life back, just remember that every single step you take MATTERS. Decide what you want your life to look like and come up with a plan that makes sense to get you there. Then put in the work, even when they are baby steps. Even when you have bad days. Even when you don’t want to. Keep showing up for YOU and things WILL improve!
